Policies
Scheduling & Attendance
Lessons are scheduled on recurring weekly days and times.
24-hour advance notice required for cancellations or rescheduling.
Monthly tuition is due regardless of attendance.
I will provide notice as early as possible if I need to cancel or reschedule.
Makeup Lessons & Cancellations
One-on-one lessons:
Makeup lessons can be scheduled within the same month when possible with 24-hour notice.
Group lessons:
If a student misses a group lesson, that lesson is forfeited (group lessons cannot be rescheduled for individual absences).
If I cancel a group lesson, an additional lesson will be added to the following month or credit applied to the next billing cycle.
Payment Terms
The first month may be prorated based on start date.
After that, monthly tuition is due on the 1st of each month and covers approximately
4 lessons scheduled throughout the month. Lessons are scheduled weekly, adjusted around school breaks and holidays. Monthly tuition remains the same regardless of the number of weeks in a given month.
Accepted payment methods: Venmo, Zelle.
With 2 weeks' written notice, unused tuition can be credited toward future months.
No refunds after tuition has been paid for the current month.
I will send a payment reminder a few days before each billing cycle.
Communication & Progress Updates
Parents receive brief written updates after each lesson.
Monthly progress summaries available upon request.
Email responses within 24 hours on business days.

Photo, Video, and Work Sharing
I may photograph student work samples for educational documentation purposes.
Student work may be shared with parents or discussed in progress updates.
Student work will not be shared publicly or with other families without explicit written consent.
No photos or screenshots of students will be taken.
Group Lesson Policies
Once enough students at similar levels have applied, I create a group lesson.
All students in a group lesson must be within 1-2 grade levels of each other.
Group composition should remain consistent throughout each month.
If one student leaves a group mid-month, remaining families may continue at the group rate or transition to individual lessons at the discretion of the teacher in consultation with the parents.
Academic Calendar & Scheduling
I generally follow the Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) calendar for breaks and scheduling. For the official LCPS calendar, visit your local school district website.
No lessons during major school breaks (Thanksgiving, winter break, spring break, summer).
Weather-related cancellations will be handled case-by-case with rescheduling within the same month when possible.
Lessons are offered during the regular school year (approximately early September through mid-June).
Enrollment & Termination
Minimum commitment: One month.
Either party may terminate with 2 weeks' written notice.
Unused tuition from prepaid months will be credited toward the next billing cycle.
Professional Conduct
All interactions maintain appropriate student-teacher boundaries.
Lessons focus exclusively on academic content.
I do not provide psychological counseling or address behavioral issues beyond normal classroom management.
Concerns about student wellbeing will be communicated to parents promptly.
